start your beat first.
You should know the bpm of the song the vocals are from. there are sites that tell you this info (google song name bpm)
move the pitch slider of the vocal/acapella track up or down until the bpm value is close to that of the beat playing in the other track.
You'll probably also want to enable keylocking on the vocal track as well.
That's the little lock to the right of the whole track waveform. (not as obvious as the sync buttons)
You might consider using chopping and triggering samples as the songs likely won't mesh well for the entire duration.
You can use beatcleaver or audacity to do that.
You can also use audacity to change the tempo/bpm of an acapella as well so that you don't have to adjust the pitch faders. videos on youtube for that.
