First, on my desktop, and later on this laptop, one of the sample decks will not play. In both cases this happened after updating the library. I suppose the fix will be to delete the library file and start over. But still, on two computers the sample decks have problems after updating the library.

Hm, this sounds like a bug. Was it always the same sample deck? Your library shouldn't have anything to do with the sample decks btw. Could you check that when a track doesn't load in a sample deck that you can load and play it in a main deck?

Spindoctor wrote:The second "bug" has to do with the lists of tracks. I've customized the window; for thbe library, the playlists, and the crates, I've moved the columns around to display artist, title, and a few other parameters. For the library and playlists it stays put, but for the AutoDJ queue, it does not remember the settings -- I have to move the columns around again each time I load MIXXX.

Hm, I'll take a look here.

Nope -- we didn't make enough progress on this to make the 1.11 release. Sadly we are pushing it (and 4-deck support) back until 1.12.

Sorry -- should have been a little more clear. Mixxx 1.10.0 was able to sync beats (sync both phase and tempo). When you said 'sync beats' I assumed you meant 'master sync'. We won't have a master sync feature in 1.11 but syncing beats works just as in 1.10 and since the beat detection is vastly improved in 1.11 the sync button has a chance of working perfectly without any fiddling with the beatgrid.

Thanks for 1.11!

It's now possible to preview directly from the playlist?

Does 1.11.0 still have the issue with moving the widths of the columns? Alter one column and it changes the width of the column next to it?

Nope! We have a Google Summer of Code student working on that for Mixxx 1.12.

Hello

First of all, i want to thank all the people that makes possible this great application.

I have used for some months now mixxx (1.10.0 x64), without any problem. Yesterday i've tried this alpha2, and it causes BSOD just at the start, any time i try. The computer is an old core2duo, win xp64, hercules mp3, with current directx drivers and asio (i could use mixxx with both without problems). Uninstalling old mixxx 1.10.0 version, then the alpha2, and then reinstalling alpha2, does the same... every time i try to launch it, BSOD directly.

Looking at the minidumps, the culplit seems to be kernel streaming (ksthunk.sys).

PD: I have a sony dualshock3 that i use via bluetooh and motioninjoy, so i don't know if this behaviour it's related to the new HID features... may i fill a bug report?

Sure, file a bug and collect as much information as you can. (You can attach the minidump file to the bug and also include the bugcheck event information from the System Event Log.) I'm not certain we'll be able to help, but we can certainly try our best. Also try starting Mixxx with no additional devices attached, and try uninstalling any HID or other controller device drivers to see if that helps. Also see if mixxx.log contains anything and attach it to the bug report if so.

Thanks

The log file is totally empty, because it BSOD right at the start (or because it doesn't get enough time to get flushed to the hdd). It's a little bit tricky to do testing with a bug like this :), but i will try later the 32bit version of the 1.10.0, and some other combinations (with/without the plugged devices, as you suggest), and then fill the bug report.

It should be difficult, but I'll also try to compile it to see if i can put on some traces there.
