And.. yes! This waveform colors is part of future 1.11 skin which should partially solve resolution problems of Mixxx skins.

It looks very clean and cool.

For what reason the play triangle is pointing to the left instead of to the right?

It is not simple triangle, it is reverse button =) I use this behaviour since Ghuntalyn skin.

I'd like to share something, some people might find useful: Overlapping waveforms. This helps me to mixxx tracks at the right beat.

Hi all,

We just released a beta version of 1.11 -- please give it a spin to see if we've fixed any of the bugs mentioned in this thread:

I'd really like a simplistic waveform, maybe just a line silhouette even, with beatgrids, being included for use with low spec machines. What are the chances of this? I don't even need the waveform ultimately, just beatgrids. It would be advantageous, for instance, if when turning waveforms off the beatgrid remained. I've actually been wondering why this wasn't the default.

Turning waveforms and beatgrids off entirely seems a bit extreme as a solution for slower machines, especially since the skin just has a gaping hole of wasted screen space in it where the wavforms were as a result.
