96 kHz audio.

Hi all mixx users!

Does Mixxx support 96 kHz audio files (wav( Aiff)?
If so, do you have to set the soundcard/hardware to 96kHz? And then, what happens if
you play a CD-quality track - 44,1 kHz? Are they all converted to 96 kHz, or does the soundcard
/hardware change automatically, depending on what you feed to it?

Also, can you use any soundcard with mixxx?

Hi,

all soundcards supported by the OS are supported by Mixxx http://www.mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/hard ... patibility

Wav/aiff are supported at any bitrate AFAIK http://www.mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/faq

This should work. Audio will be resampled from whatever the source bitrate is to whatever your soundcard bitrate is. I haven't tested 96Khz audio specifically so if you have any issues please let us know.

I have personally used Mixxx with a 96kHz firewire sound card and it works fine with tracks of various sample rates, including 44.1kHz and 96kHz.
