Linux Mint LXDE Mixxx wont start from menu only terminal

I too have tried many distros, all but one seems to crash after 3 seconds, of playing a song. If you take off the waveform it seems to work fine but I like the waveform option and want to run it on a linux platform. I have tried Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Moon OS, Mint LXDE and win XP all on the same machine. And Windows is the only one that works. So this leads me to think that it is some type of driver issues. Is there a way of transferring my windows driver to linux os? Is there any other solutions?

What video hardware do you have? Do lspci at a terminal to see all of your PCI hardware.
Are you using open-source or proprietary video drivers? For nVidia cards, I've found that nVidia's proprietary driver tends to work better than the open-source nouveau at the moment.
