recordings can only play back on Mixxx?

Postby PANDEMONIVM » Fri Feb 05, 2010 7:43 am

Greetings! I recorded my mixtape tonight but when It won't play on itunes. I tried several times without success, then I open it with Mixxx and voilá, it played just fine. Why is the reason for this? the recordings are decoded differently that cannot be play back with other commun software like itunes or even quicktime?

I'm using my PowerBook G4, Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

They're just regular WAV files at the sample rate you selected in the sound card preferences pane. Anything that reads WAV should play it fine. Try Audacity to be sure.

Probably has something to do with I-tunes I can play all recorded mixes of mine in every type of media player on my computer. You can always convert the .WAV file into .mp3 format using a converter of some sort then try to open it in I-tunes.

Before you start mixing start to record from the options menu. Title your mix what ever you want to call it, choose a location for the file and click save Next you mix your tracks and when you are done mixing close MIXXX and you should have a .WAV file where you saved it, by default mixes are saved in a subfolder in MIXXX program files you can change it to save in your music folder. Normally I just search the file then click it to open a default media player and it plays. Hopefully my instructions aren't too confusing.
