HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is doing my nut!

I live in thailand. downloaded this software so i can dj again. tried to use 2 soundcards on the 1.5 version . no joy. then read that dual soundcard support is only on the 1.6 version beta. downloaded that. still no joy!

over here they sell thumbdrive size soundcards. (usb) i'm using two of them, they both work, and are recognised by computer and mixxx but when i set the master to one, and the headphone output to the other i still get no headphone out. what am i doing wrong? i recently updated a slightly older comp. its a 2ghz p4, now with 2gb of ram. is the motherboard incompatible? any ideas anybody?!

Hi,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. So you have one of the cards selected as your headphone output in preferences. If this is Windows, make sure the volume on this card is set sensibly and not muted, you need to go to preferences in the volume control thing for this. Then you need to click one of the headphone buttons in Mixxx, with a track playing and you should hear some sound. If you've done all of those things we'll have to try something else...

Hi,

That sounds unlikely, especially since they're both USB devices, unless they're both identical and have a really crappy driver that doesn't support having two of them connected at the same time.

Can you get sound out of both of them using applications other than Mixxx? With them both plugged in at the same time?

And you're using Windows?

when useing xwax, the usb soundcard that i had problems with
corrected itself with plughw:1,0 instead of hw:1,0
