The "Vinyl Control" Thread!!

Postby crytek » Tue Aug 12, 2008 6:13 am

Got inspired by the youtube vid of the guy demoing the vinyl control feature with mixxx. On the vid, it seemed that there was some ultra smooth playback going on, so I decided to have a go with it as well. I'm having problems getting smooth playback with Mixxx, using the vinyl control function. So far I've tried adjusting the latency and I still don't get smooth playback as well as check if my turntables were getting a good signal to my soundcard. All seemed fine. I first hooked my turn tables directly into the soundcard. Got nothing, until I tried to adjust the turntable amp feature on mix. Got some response, but weird things like jittery playback, and/or once you lift the needle off the record, the mp3 file seems to play backwards very fast would happen. I then tried using my mixer. Plugging in my turntables into the mixer (to boost the turn table signal via the mixer and into the soundcard) that way, and not only do I get jittery playback, but the mp3 seems to play a lot slowers than what the turn table is playing. Any one else have the same problem and have any workarounds, solutions/advice?
