Well, somehow your Lame installation went wrong or you try to access the wrong path in Finder.
I would try to reinstall Lame:
* Download Lame for Intel (see previous posts) and unzip. You should get
Lame 3.98.4 universal x86_64 i386.pkg* Install
Lame 3.98.4 universal x86_64 i386.pkg by double-clicking. Put in your admin credentials if asked by the installer. The installer should give you a "The installation was completed successfully" message.
* Verify the install was successful. Open the "Terminal" application and type the following into the terminals command-prompt
- Code: Select all
file /usr/local/lib/libmp3lame.dylib
This should give
- Code: Select all
/usr/local/lib/libmp3lame.dylib: Mach-O universal binary with 2 architectures
/usr/local/lib/libmp3lame.dylib (for architecture x86_64): Mach-O 64-bit dynamically linked shared library x86_64
/usr/local/lib/libmp3lame.dylib (for architecture i386): Mach-O dynamically linked shared library i386
* If so, the lame install is OK.
* Restart Mixxx and try to record/stream in MP3
