problems scanning music library

Hi. i'v been using MIXXX for about a week now. i'm running windows7 AMD 2.2 ghz with 4 gigs RAM.

the problem i'v been having is; i have selected one folder as my music library but every time i rescan the folder MIXXX scans several other folders as well. and possibly
all of the music on my computer. i have tried reinstalling MIXXX and making sure that the library folder was in a seperate directory [desktop instead of documents] than all of the other music but no luck.

any suggestions would be much appriciated. otherwise everything works great but this one little thing is a pain. thanks.

some additional info. i'm running v1.10 btw

before reinstalling the program i rearanged some of the music on my computer. when i reinstalled mixxx and scanned my library folder for the first time, the original
file pathways were still there so i was unable to play any of those files.
every time i rescan the library all of the files in my library folder are playable but my library is also full of other tracks that are not playable. this seems kind of absurd to me
but there must be some kind of solution. can i simply manually add folders to my library without doing an auto scan?

so it seems that i need to delete my library database but i cant seem to find the file.

this sucks because otherwise mixxx works great. but this one problem renders it completely useless. even after reinstalling again and rescanning my library is full of broken file pathways.

problem solved. i had to delete all of the tracks and track metadata from my library, then rename the library folder and rescan library.
the tracks didnt show up until i restarted mixxx.
