Timecoded Vinyl

Just wondering if these brands of timecoded vinyl work with Mixxx ;

Serato Sicwax
Torq
VirtualDJ
DVS

Or is it just limited to the vinyl listed in Mixxx? :mrgreen:

From what I understand, the vinyls listed in Mixxx are the best. Take the Traktor control vinyl MK2 for example, although it works with Mixxx, it plays the songs a little faster than if you had the MK1. Reason being the Hz. It plays at 400Hz more than the MK1. I havent done much research about it, and I'm new to the whole DJ software, but thats just from what I've seen around the forums. I would to try to stick with the vinyl they have listed because thats what it has a code for and is proven to work, and it would suck if you buy one of the vinyls you listed and then it doesn't work. But like I said I'm new to the software world of DJ'ing, and I'm probably wrong :lol:

As I understand it, the Sicwax records are illegal bootlegs. So while they should work if they're the regular Serato time code, there are no guarantees.
