Hercules DJ Console (Mac Edition) on GNU/Linux (Ubuntustudio 8.04):


I'm not able to get input for the interface in j.a.c.k.
on my HP Pavilion DV9000 AMD 64 AthlonX2 with 4 Gigs of ram.

it seems to only want to work in capture mode.

that's not a limitation of the card/controller according to the hardware compatibility list,
it just says some leds don't work yet.

MixMan DM2:

also i own a dm2 and i like it but the jog wheels don't really scratch, in fact, the dj console
sounds more like a scratch than the dm2. (but still not any good)

here's where i am as an aspiring hip-hop dj trying to make a budget rig with Linux.

My supported interface doesn't have input so no virtual vinyl for scratching, my controllers don't
scratch and the app I'm using doesn't loop.


now i can mix with mixxx and the dj console, loop with freewheeling and scratch with the dm2
and terminatorx since it supports midi and sounds great.


but i'm really hoping some of you have encountered my problems already an know some fixes.
