Using the MIDI wizard I was able to get all the buttons working except for the Library buttons, the Pitch bend buttons and the sync button. Using Baretail I was able to sniff out the MIDI signals, and then programmed the pitch bend and sync buttons using the editor in Mixxx. I couldn't sniff out the signals for the LEDs though. I made note of all the other controls, but since I am unable to write MIDI script (I've been attempting but don't seem to be getting anywhere) I can't actually get it working. But I have the opcodes, ctrls, and values, for the jog wheels, and the library browsing stuff. If someone is able to write script for the controller with that information I would be happy to provide it, along with a copy of the midi file I have thus far.

As for the LEDs, I think the only way we'll get that is from Numark, unless it can be pulled out of the VirtualDJ software that it comes with... It must have a midi file or some type of mapping somewhere, right?

If someone could outline a typical script for a jog wheel I could probably figure out how to write the script. I just can't seem to follow the directions on the wiki. My programming skills stop after basic HTML so figuring this out is tricky, but doable with a bit of help.

OK guys... Got this solved!
You need: version 1.9.1
- Load the preset for Numark MIXTRACK
- In the MIDI learning wizard remap ONLY the crossfader (because it is reversed), SKIP all others.
- Basically you're done now. It is possible to remap other buttons. I mapped the pitch bend buttons to rewind & forward-seek.
The button-lights are working, and also the browse buttons & jogwheels.
I tested this on Linux. (For Win-7 I use the Virtual DJ program that comes with the controller)
You can backup the DJ2GO.xml file. It is located in the .mixxx directory found in your home directory.

Update to my yesterday's post.
.
Today I installed the windows version (1.9.0) of Mixxx in Win-7.
After setting Mixx up, I copied the dj2go.xml file I created in Linux to the install-map (directory, sorry wintalk here) of Mixxx.
I now can confirm that everything works in Win-7 as well.
Because of the way the jogwheels react in Mixxx as opposite to Virtual-DJ I'm only going to use Mixxx from now on. (Virtual-DJ lets the jogwheels react in a different way in Headphones-mode, wich I don't like)

hi all

new here. have used the above isntruction and its all working, apart from the jog wheel which doesnt do anything when a tune is playing. this is quite crucial!! if nothing playing then you could mvoe a track forward/bac with the wheel, but it needs to work when a tune is playing. any help appreciated!

The MIDI mapping files are located in the following paths:

Windows: C:\Program Files\Mixxx\midi
Linux: /usr/share/mixxx/midi (or /usr/local/share/mixxx/midi)
OS X: /Applications/Mixxx.app/Contents/Resources/midi
sorry but i have little xp with mac's i have mixxx on linux and windows
