I am needing help getting my controller listed above to work with Linux Mint/Mixxx Dj Software or any other dj software available on Linux Mint (Julia) 32-Bit. It is the newest addition to the Hercules Dj Controllers and their site doesn't have anything for this controller & may not for a while I'm thinking....

Your help will be extremely appreciated.

Hello everyone I installed Mixxx, and I'd like to use my Mp3 E2 as a controller for it. I run Ubuntu 10.04 with kernel 2.6.32 and I read the lightrush's post linked in the wiki ( https://sites.google.com/site/lightrush ... tumaverick ) but I don't understand which package I should install, because it only talks about kernel 2.6.35 or 2.6.38. I checked Daniel Baumann's PPA because I understood that he released the right patch for my kernel version, but it seems there isn't in his PPA anymore... could you please help me telling me what I should install to make this controller work? thanks a lot

EDIT: I updated kernel version to 2.6.35 through packports and now everything works perfectly

I followed lightrush's instructions a couple times for Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty) and it kind of works...but the play button doesn't work. It doesn't work on my RMX nor in the application. It seems to play a millisecond or so and then just stop again.

I had it working in Maverick, but when I upgraded to Natty I had to start over and I don't remember all of the exact instructions I followed to get it working flawlessly. I remember doing something in X11, but I can't figure out exactly what it was and I'm not sure if I'm encountering the same problem again or now. Any suggestions would be helpful and if you need any information, just tell me how to get it for you.

Did you ever get this fixed? Perhaps worth starting a separate thread about it. I had it fixed a while ago. It had something to do with the midi script, but I'm not too clear on the details.
