This is a hard one... a new feature could be "Key Detection" for Harmonic Mixing.

Awesome I'm looking forward to it! I know many commercial mixing softwares have already implemented it. Unfortunately, the only open source key detector i know of is "Rapid Evolution" it's still beta so, it's slow and unstable...

Yeah we're indeed planning to implement a key detector. But I also plan to highlight compatible tracks in plalists or crates while you are playing a track.

For the time being, you can use Rapid Evolution. It has a pretty well key detection and some reviews show that this piece of software is better than "Mixing in key".
But bear in mind that key detection is an estimation process like BPM detection. It may be wrong in numerous cases!

A new open source one :) ... I've tested it with a few batches and seems to work pretty darn well, unfortunately it does not feature a "compatible" tracks area.

But bear in mind that key detection is an estimation process like BPM detection. It may be wrong in numerous cases!

Just like BPM or Sync etc ... trust yer ears, you'd double check in your headphones first anyhow, it would be a VERY nifty feature.

Very cool! We are looking at integrating the detection code behind this ASAP.
The Mixxx Manual, Wiki and FAQ are the best place to start for documentation and support.
