Hi

Anyone have the mapping for Pioneer DDJ Ergo?, seems pretty hard to do the midi mapping,

Problems face while mapping

1. Can't move jog wheel for cueing and scratching
2. Pitch Sider move in different direction ( when i move up on hardware, software move down)
3. Can't detect Master Volume , Headphone volume , cue & master knob
4. Can't detect effects knobs
5. Can't detect sampler knobs and buttons
6. Hard to setup the Auto Loop
7. Audio setup went wrong, Master- DDJERGO ASIO 1 & 2 / Headphone DDJERGO 3 & 4, no signal from hardware. (Basically no sound)

What i like about Mixxx was

Very good sensitive Gain & EQ knob compare to Traktor Pro 2 & VDJ 7 (On Screen)
Very sensitive crossfader compare to Traktor Pro 2 & VDJ 7 (On Screen)

I just looked at the manual (thanks for linking it!) and all of the controls are 14-bit. (I'm impressed!) The problem is that the MIDI Wizard and the simple XML mappings assume 7-bit controls, so you will need to script nearly the entire controller for the best experience.

That said, if you map just the MSB messages, you could still use it with 7-bit resolution using simple XML mappings. To answer your questions:

1 & 2) you will need to use MIDI scripting. See the sticky at the top of this forum for more info.
3 - 5) Run Mixxx with the --midiDebug option and it will print out every MIDI message received (and log them in mixxx.log.) You can then edit the XML file, copy a <control> block and edit it with these values.
6) This should be straightforward. Can you paste a <control> block from your XML file containing a "beatloop" <key>?
7) Have you tried different sample rates? Can you get audio from the unit from Audacity? (A free audio editor that uses the same audio library as Mixxx.)

Hi

I had tried with audacity, no signal at all, as for the instruction, once I reach back home I will try to do it. But seems like midi script look very complicated, any advice on how to go about do it?
