Thank You Mixxx team for such an amazing program, with innovative feature like rewind.
I wish i could put an auto-repeat on the crossfader.
I did a 4 hour session with this last night, it is crazy fun and ridiculously addictive. thanks!

Yo Pegasus, this is Steve btw, how are you?

Haha, I was wondering when you were going to try that with Mixxx. :D Nice work!

Auto-repeat... like hold a controller button down to make the crossfader pop back and forth at a certain time interval? (Hehe, like Turbo mode on the NES Advantage joystick? :geek: ) All possible with a little scripting!

Yes, exactly, crossfader at interval.
It's only been a couple days, but I'm already doing more complex scratches; playing the cf and the reverse makes some neat tricks, plus since everything is close you can play hotcues+fader, or cues+reverse, etc. I've even worked put a juggle trick, with one deck, and it sounds just like a real stuttered juggle.

I've got it hooked up to the tv like a video game. Very addictive cause it appeals to the lazy in me. I can chill on the couch and scratch all day.

NIce... now you gotta use a wireless Xbox controller and do tricks from the dance floor. :)

For the cross-fader interval thing, map the target button's press and release to a script function that either starts or stops a timer respectively which calls another function that either opens or closes the CF depending on a state variable that it changes on each call. See Timed Reactions on the MIDI scripting page for more info.
