Displaying custom message

Postby oldboy » Mon Jan 16, 2012 7:11 am

Hi all,
is there a way to add some fields to interface
and display custom messages there?
And if so - can be added without recompliling source?
(I'm not skilled for anything more than writing JS code and XML config files)

I looked at docs and googled but couldn't find any info on that.

Thanks

You can completely customize the appearance of the skins. but what sort of customized messages do you mean?

for example:

I have function in JS script that keeps some local vars updated.
If I can display current value for that var somewhere on interface.

There's not currently a way to do that. Mixxx's current control system can only pass numbers at the moment, though we have plans to redesign it to allow for strings and other things.

For now, you can just print() the values which will cause them to appear on the console and in the log file.
