Also, FWIW, the main developer of libsndfile (the library we use to read WAV and AIFF files) has already implemented ALAC support as well, see http://old.nabble.com/ALAC-codec-being- ... 41742.html .

I imagine the next version of libsndfile will include it, at which point it will be trivial to extend Mixxx to support it as well.

You could transcode them to FLAC in the meantime, you know. :)
