Shift or 'other function' key

Hi,

Is it possible to make a mapping with a shift key to give buttons on a controller dual functions? Also can you make a 'sticky' shift key (a bit like a caps lock' to toggle between the 2 functions?

It is possible with midi script files.
But keep in mind, that the most controller shift keys don't send midi messages and work internal.

The controller I've been lent is a BCD3000 that doesn't have a shift function so I was going to hack one using a button not used for something else.

But since I have a gig a week today I think I'd be better off practicing using a new controller than hiding under a mountain of code!
