Mixxx chugs when connected to Numark Mixdeck

I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit) on a 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo processor with 4GB of RAM.

I downloaded the latest Numark driver (v 2.9.13).

When I plug my laptop into my friend's Numark Mixdeck via USB (into Mixdeck USB slave input) and play a track on Mixxx, the program chugs so hard that all I hear are clicks. Sound reaches Mixdeck, but it's extremely bogged down. I do not have this problem playing tracks on Mixxx when not connected to Mixdeck.

Also, I installed the latest ASIO4All program, but when I play a track in Mixxx with ASIO4All selected as master output, no sound is generated, but the track still plays.

I'm having a house party Saturday (Feb. 25) and would like to have my setup figured out by then, but preferably before.

Do you have two sound cards activated at once? (The MixDeck and the internal sound?) If so, use only the MixDeck's audio. Also, try increasing the latency setting in the preferences.

Still chugs at max latency. I've tried using different sound APIs as well, to no avail. I have the same problem with other DJ programs too, so I'm not quite sure what's going on. I've checked the Numark driver as well. It always says it's connected when I'm plugged into the Mixdeck.

Do you hear the imperfections if you make a recording from within Mixxx? (If so, can you post a short recording showing the problem?)
