Mixxx 1.10.0 Os X 10.4 mp3 and m4a loads as static

A bug was filed on this issue a bit ago but there has not been any movement. Sounds like it may be a dead-end issue.

I am having this issue as well. I think the reason the devs are not doing much, is due to the fact that they themselves do not have PowerPc macs.

That's one reason. The other is that we're busy working on v1.11.0.

If anyone is able to donate a PPC Mac for us to test on, that would be great.

I only just discovered Mixx in the App Store and have it on my Macbook Air.. however my main machine is still a PPC Quad G5 running 10.5.8 !

I was so happy to see a PPC version, but found the same static playback issue with MP3's/etc. that others mention. AIFF works fine of course.

I found a link to the last version of Mixx that works on PPC without the static.. version 1.9. Seems pretty good so far.

Thanks for this great software, I wish I had an old PPC to donate for development.. I will ask around.
