is there some way i can run a general search for the specific file?
Windows: Go to Start, Computer, select Local Disk (C:) drive. In the address line at the top of the window, where it says something like Computer>C:, type in the following: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mixxx -- and hit return. Something I did, is copy this line and paste it into a Notepad file. So anytime I want to do this, I can simply paste this into the window.
This will bring up the hidden folder. The file you want is Mixxxdb.sqlite. Delete it. Then go into MIXXX and it will ask to download a library, as though it's the first time you've ever opened the program.
As for suggesting this in the bug menu, it's not really a bug, just a convenience if there was an option to do this without the need for locating hidden files.
