TouchOSC MIDI bridge for Linux (Ubuntu)

Postby bestdani » Mon Apr 23, 2012 6:18 pm

Hello out there,
I recently installed ubuntu studio to run mixxx on it (and it is a lot performanter than with win7). Because I have no latency problems with an activated wlan, I got the idea to gain a bit more control with touchOSC. I'm relativly new to ubuntu / linux and I can't find any information on the official touchOSC webpage or elsewhere in the web about which software is needed to get the midi control via WLAN to work. Or is there only the ability to use the OSC protocoll via wlan and I have to translate it to midi with pure data or something like this?
I hope here are some linux "geeks" who can help me. :)

Puredata is available for Linux. I think that is your best option. You can use the TouchOSC to PD application on the touchosc page. Those patches will work with the linux version of PureData.
