Mapping for Changeing Beatsize (Auto-Looping) - Reloop DJ2

Postby absolut_beginner » Mon May 21, 2012 8:32 pm

Hi,

I've configured acutal MIXXX 1.10 within a 64bit Ubuntu 12.04 on a HP Notebook. For some reasons I actually try to switch from Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Pro 1.2.7. to MIXXX.

It feels quiet well on rehearsal and I'm confident how it worked out from the beginning.

The only thing I miss is to choose the the beatsize while autoloop is activated. Within NI Traktor Scratch Pro I can use the Shift Button and turn the corresponding controller to decrease or increase the loop size for the corresponding deck.

Is there a possibility to get the same functionality also on MIXXX? Do I have to make an additional MIDI configuration? If so, can someone help me out what to do?

Kind regards,

HP G62 Notbook with AMD
Reloop DJ 2 Interface Edition
Audio 8 interface
12.04 (64bit) Ubuntu, Unity
Thank You
Dankeschön

you can map "loop_halve" and "loop_double" that would work well mapped to buttons or an encoder. in my latest launchpad mapping i double up the "loop in" and "loop out" buttons for halve+double while the loop is active.

the "beatloop_X_activate" control will also work whether the loop is currently active or not - so u can map controls like "beatloop_1_activate" and "beatloop_0.5_activate". X is the number of beats you want for the loop.
