mixxx on xbox

Postby dj monkey » Sun Mar 09, 2008 4:25 pm

i read a post on the sourceforge forum about someone trying to get mixxx on an original xbox 1 running linux. i want to use mixxx for vinyl manipulation, serato/final scratch style, so was just wondering if the xbox would meet the system requirements for this. im running an xbox version of damn small linux n have a usb hub i can attach to it for the soundcards. im a bit of a novice to all this linux business so any advice os appreciated.

cheers

That's an interesting idea. Yeah, I think the XBox would meet the minimum requirements. The hard part would be compiling Mixxx on your XBox. You'd have to download all the dependencies and compile/install them by hand. I don't know much about XBox Linux though. Won't know unless you try it!

Why revert your Xbox 1 to DSL?

We all know an xbox OS is stripped down Win2k, you could basically try to re-compile it being xbox compatible?
