set a cue

Postby josecarlos » Fri May 20, 2011 3:23 am

hello, first of all i have to say that i like this program so much, and i want to use it instead of another solutions. So im new and maybe its for that reason why im finding hard to do several things. For example, i use alcatech bpm because it lets me to search the cue point pressing the arrow so its moving step to step and repeating the sound like a looping so i can find the beat that i want and set the cue at the beggining... how can i move me throught the mp3 just step by step and being listening if im reaching the beat?. i mean how can i listen as a looping my position in the mp3 so i can easily set my cue up. Thanks.

I believe that feature, sometimes known as a "stuttering pause", is on the cards for a future release, but does not exist at present. That said, in terms of setting cue points, it is usually much easier to see where the beat begins using the waveform display rather than by ear - have you considered using this approach?

yeah, its how im doing but obviously listening is a big help too, Aswell, choosing a different skin or desactivating the wave gives you more space so you can use it for another things as for example a bigger view of mp3 library. So i think it must be a very interesting feature for adding in the future in mixxx.
