Re: Rewire/VST Support?

At least back in the day, implementing Rewire required a license. One Psycle developer had one for another project of him and wondered about adding support to Psycle, but the implementation was never started. It is not like jack in the sense that it is not a central server where applications connect...

Re: Rewire/VST Support?

I think Mixxx is ready to support ReWire. I have a stalled branch for a native Jack support, bypassing the Portaudio layer. A ReWire support could be done similar. Unfortunately I have not found time to continue that. So the ReWire project will suffer the same if we don't find a contributor who is w...

Re: Rewire/VST Support?

Hmm. Reaper is a one man operation, so I wonder if they could be persuaded to find a way to make it work with Mixxx? Probably not, but it's not like going to a corporation. It's literally asking one developers assistance.

Re: Rewire/VST Support?

ReWire seems to be an interesting solution somewhat similar to jack.
I would be cool to have if in Mixxx for all DAW users, but I am afraid it is closed source. We have to figure out.

If you like, you can file a wishlist bug to track the demand.

Re: Rewire/VST Support?

I'm not sure what you are asking for. Are you asking about using Mixxx as a plugin in a DAW? There are no plans for that. What you could do is use Mixxx's built in recording functionality to record your scratching to a file then import that file into your DAW. On Linux you could also use JACK to sen...

Rewire/VST Support?

Are there any plans for Rewire or VST support? There are not a lot of options for recording using timecode vinyl into a DAW. Only one I've found was Scratch Track, which didn't work very well in my case. It apparently requires a midi capable mixer to work.

Re: Looking for microphone eq sugestions on 2.1.3

... Which effect do you need for crisping up? Do you have a reference effect in hardware or a third party sotware that can we take as reference? Vst plugins are on our wishlist for long. Mixxx 2.2 will support LV2 plugins. But that will probably help only on Linux.

Looking for microphone eq sugestions on 2.1.3

... Radio using Shoutcast. Being able to use both of these are my main reason for ditching Reaper and going with Mixxx. I know I can try to pull my VST plugins that I use in Reaper and use Cantabile and Voicemeeter, but that would bring on a ton more CPU and I would like to keep my setup streamlined ...

Re: some new features (lots) so take your time!

... be obviously improved. Turn tracks into midi??? I guess this is out if scope if Mixxx. Or do you mean a special effect? Do you have references? Vst support is on our wishlist since long. The upcoming version will offer LV2 support. Maybe this helps a bit. Playing LV2 syntesizer effects as instruments ...

some new features (lots) so take your time!

... but we need tracks too. and a lot of controllers have trigger buttons. maybe we should link them to drmsynth (kxstudio) vcvrack, and hydrogen and vst's so we can create loops and drum tracks on the fly. that can also be a feature that can be implmented under the mackie control protocol, although ...
